View Full Version : Are you a member of the mile-high club?

Since the questions about people's flying habits are flying thick and fast, I thought I'd ask if there are any bona fide members of the mile-high club using this forum?

I'm not, by the way, but would particularly like to hear from any members who have accomplished this feat in a tandem two-seat Piper aircraft. It may be that there is a place in medical science waiting for you.

I once had sex with a 'plane' looking girl. Does that count?

Was she rated for spins?

No, unfortunately, but she did like practising forced landings. Can't comment on how many degrees of ...no, no, no. Decorum prohibits me. I'm sure you all got there before me anyway...;)

No, but my instructor once told someone that I had:

"... just done a 60' steep turn, and pulled it off as well..."

Very talented lass I am ;) :D

No but could be fun......

Remember Backcourse Localiser followed by missed approach could lead to serious injury, especially if turbulence is encountered on final :) Would be better to try some touch and goes, and finally go for a full flap landing...... :D

Ahhh.....fantasies

:D

Are you allowed to post rude links here (adult, but relevant to the topic)

maybe this should be in JB?

Did consider it once in an aircraft on the ground at Denver I think (which qualifies for altitude). Managed other activities at that altitude in the U.K but space has prohibited qualifying for full membership. Also thought about it as a business opportunity - take couples to 5280 ft for 10 minutes and return, total trip time around 30 mins. In a Seneca or 310 thats about £150. Daft idea but interesting job to talk about at parties... "you'll never guess who I had in the back of my plane last week...."

Once had the promise of something interesting over the Yorkshire dales in a Warrior..
But once airborne she (now the Mrs) changed her mind, and now there is no chance..;)

formation - someone's beaten you to it, mate:
**Sorry chaps-Link removed after advice from above...**
And no, I'm not a member although I did live near Denver so could that count?

uhmm i dont think sitting on the ground at denver would qualify. I'd assume 1mile AGL would be the minimum, not MSL.

macky42 No way rude linkks here at all... Instant ban my friend. As for it being on JB, well, I did think about moving it there but its a question more geared to us who fly in small planes and not the 'larger' ones if you get what i mean.. :D

(P.S. I am not by the way....... :) )

(A member that is......)

(Ohoh, digging a hole now..........I'll get my coat... !!!!!! ):p

Could be an area of activity for a wing walking porn act I suppose!. Though I am sure the top totty of the current UK wing walking acts wouldn't do such a thing - far too nice.

On a slightly less tacky note I am sure I saw a wing walking wedding a while back. Could have been the butterly team aircraft, can't remember. Sound the sort of thing that Sir Vic and Helen the temptress might arrange though - a team which knows how to use P.R to the benefit of its sponsors. Was lucky enough to arrange for some PILOT archive photography with them when they were based at Seething for a few days recently. Very friendly and organised. Just a pity I didn't think quickly enough to get the two Stearman to formate on the Tiger Moth I was flying. A pic of the UK primary and the U.S primary traiensr would have been useful for a story I am researching about these two approaches to the same task.

If any PPruners did their initial training on either Tiger Moth or Stearman I would be interested to hear from you.
