I know this sounds like a pretty annoying question to post but my flying school sell JAR Skills Test Documents for 10 pounds. However, i have been told that there is a publication downloadable on the CAA website.

After trying to search for it i cannot find it so i was wondering if anyone knew what the name of the publication was (ie CAP...).

The reason i ask this is that im trying to save as much money as possible towards flying time and other needed equipment so if i can get the document for free, then why pay for it.

Thanks in advance for your help.

I think you need:

Standards Document 19, Version 2. Notes for the guidance of applicants taking the PPL Skill test (Aeroplanes) (http://www.caa.co.uk/docs/175/srg_fcl_19v2_03_2002.pdf)

As ever, Adobe's Acrobat Reader is required to read it. However, it's in LASORS (£5+P&P) so I'm not sure why your school charges you a tenner for it. I'd definitely recommend buying a copy, if only for the GA Safety Sense leaflets in it - look here (http://www.caa.co.uk/srg/licensing/fcl/document.asp?groupid=292) for more (and I'm not CAA ;) ).

In general, a good place to start looking for answers to licencing questions is:
