German state pension contributions

I have recently moved to the UK having worked in Germany and paid German pension contributions. Does anyone know if it possible to transfer this into a UK pension, take a lump or do I have to wait until I retire? Seems to be conflicting information online.:confused:

Before you do it consider which country/currency/company you have more faith in for the term of your retirement. Consider the potential effect on your pension of Corbyn’s bail-in of the “wealthy”. Sometimes best not to put all your eggs in one basket.
