Will the slide disarm if someone opens the over-wing-emergency door from outside ?

No mention in my Airbus FCOM about opening the over wing exits from the outside but the cabin crew manual says that they can be opened from the outside and the slide WILL deploy.

There is also a lever in the exit frame which disarms the the auto slide deployment but no idea how it works in terms of getting to it without deploying the slide.

Hopefully an engineer will be along soon to let us know.

Yes, but I don't have a reference

Since we started the discussion on narrow body doors of A320 family are doors 2/3 L and R are Type II or Type III?

According to our Cabin Safety Procedure Manual : "The slide is automatically inflated if the window is pushed in by the outside red flaps."

True, my bad. Has this turned into doors on A321 thread already, or still overwing EE on A320/19/18 ?

Slide activation is started by movement of EE from the frame, does not matter from which side.

There is a spring loaded pin in each of the overwing exit doors, this pin contacts a lever that via a cable initiates the slide deployment.

You can withdraw the pin, ( slide & twist ) if you want to use the exit but don't want to deploy the slide. This is usually used as a maintenance function.

As far as I can remember there is no way to disarm the slides from outside.
