Just wondering on the pros and cons of Flap 1 take off for A 321, specifically how much if any fuel is this likely to save?

Flaps 2 increases tail strike margins significantly. In terms of fuel economy there 's around 5 kg of fuel penalty as compared to Flaps 1.
