Hi All

I need to do some flying before the end of April 2015 to ensure that I meet the requirements of revalidating my PPL. Preferably I would like to do this in Europe; somewhere that is warm and sunny.

Can anyone recommend a flying school/club that have Piper PA28s or Cessna 172s. I have thought of Fly-In-Spain but is there anywhere else.

Thanks

Cyprus. Paphos is warmer than most other med destinations.

...but you're limited to where you can fly. greek islands might be better.

Malta seems to be on the up for flight training. Worth a look. Cross countries to Sicily. Never tried it. Paphos or Larnaca - good but limited on cross country flying. Fly in Spain - use the search function on here to see a range of opinions on them. Madrid? Sabadell (Barcelona) ? Malaga?

Not quite as warm and sunny (though really nice from June onwards) is Norway. Millions of little airfields (where you can camp by your plane).

Great!

Cheers, Sam.

Strolling the www I stumbled across http://www.fly2romania.com (http://www.fly2romania.com/)but something about that website raised me some unexplainable apprehensions...

I found a school based at Heraklion Airport in Crete and went flying from there whilst on holiday.

School: Cretan Eagle Aviation
Website: http://www.cretaneagle.gr/
Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Cretan-Eagle-Aviation-Ltd/208231955863792
Instructor: George Keralakis

Lots of sun.

After a check-out I took my wife on a flight around the isalnd and then another flight to Santorini.

George is a very friendly chap who used to instruct at Stapleford.

I assume you are talking EASA Part.FCL PPL? Then you have the choice to fulfill requirements or take check ride with a Flight Examiner. If this is done 90 days before expiry date you even keep your old vali date. This is what I did: went to this school (http://flightcenter-hannover.de) in Germany, took FE checkride and spent the rest of my spare time enjoying instead of running hours. Check before doing wether you need a written permit from your home CAA.

Hi

Thank you for the information: I appreciate it.

I have tried to find information on Fly-In-Spain at Jerez but there is not very much recent stuff. Does anyone have any up to date comments/reviews.
