France VFR above FL115

I haven't flown through France VFR for quite a while. How accommodating are ATC to allow you FL115 - 190 these days? As Class D they can keep you out if they want, but do they habitually? If so, are there certain areas which are worse for this?
I am heading UK to S. France VFR soon, and want to get above weather if necessary (with O2).

Any info?

Permanent NOTAM against it I believe.

Above FL115 class D everywhere in France.
VFR could be allowed from FL125 to FL 195 with a VFR flightplan at ATC discretion.
In Paris FIR a permanent NOTAM (for ages) : No VFR flights above FL115.

Thanks werewolf. That's more what I remember.
Was planning to keep clear of Paris anyway.
Still, as Class D, it is at their discretion if VFR.
My question is, how accommodating are atc in allowing up to 195?

It is not Paris TMA but Paris FIR which is quite a large chunk of France.
