Airfields near Preston

[PPL-Pilot]

Does anyone have any advise on airfields near Preston that will accept a C152 or PA28 Warrior?

I've seen similar old threads on this topic going back a few years that mention places like Samlesbury but this appears to now be a disused. Warton seems to be an unlikely place to be accepted and Blackpool will take me all day to get in and out of looking at their ops procedures.

My intention is to fly up from the midlands for a meeting to save 3 hours on the M6!!

Blackpool is not a problem for GA access if you PPR, you could be in a taxi within 5 minutes of shutting down, I am sure someone more local will be along shortly to chapter and verse.
Blackpool would be my choice.

A little further out but I have used

Barton - very good
Liverpool - more expensive.

Blackpool is much better geared up for GA than it used to be, and it's a short walk to the station, from where you can get a train into Preston.
