There might be, but from a developer point of view Symbian is a dead duck.

I (bitterly) remember the debacle three years ago over the complete breakdown of the process to register keys for Symbian development handsets - it went on for months, and they basically froze everyone who wasn't already registered out of the market. Whether it was an intentional move to protect specific commercial interests, or just cack-handedness, isn't clear but it was the first and biggest nails in Symbian's (and probably Nokia's) coffin.

Stamp on your Nokia handset, and buy an iPhone or something with Android on it.

N8 Clones will run Android, as, it seems, will the Chinese version shortly. However, at the moment, there is no hardware compatability between the N8 and Android Application Development, so in short, I'm afraid the answer is no. (Short of destroying your guarantee, and possibly your phone).:sad:
