I've just glanced through the "what's new" section and it looks like they've revised or re-written all of the topics that regularly show up here:

Logging of flight time
Requirements for the QXC
Revalidation/renewal of a SEP class rating

I wonder if the CAA reads PPRuNe as well...?:ok:

Oh, and I found this little snippet of information in the "welcome" section (bottom para on page 4):

At the time of writing the EASA regulations as proposed will make mandatory
revalidation by testing every 4 years for licence holders at Level 4 and every 6 years for licence holders at
Level 5.

Is EASA really going to deviate from the ICAO recommendation of 3 years for level 4 and 5 years for level 5?

What a pile of error ridden crap. They took so long to release it and it so full of errors it is unbelievable.

Anyone see anything wrong with this?

PIC U/S flight time gained with a flying instructor on a
successful check flight or with an authorised Examiner
on a successful Flight Test for the grant or revalidation
of a rating in a PPL;

Yes section A appendix B contradicts it!

J Pilot undergoing any form of
flight test with a JAA or CAA
Authorised Examiner (other
than case K).
N/A PICUS for successful
test
P/UT for unsuccessful
test (including partial
pass)
Enter time in ‘P1’ column
and have it certified by
aircraft commander.
Enter time in ‘Dual’
column.

Grrr.

Of course Sec A Appendix B is correct.

Who knows where they dug up that para from...but It looks like Both C3.7 (UK Gyroplane) and F5.3 UK PPL(A) are in error.
