Clearly something had to be done about the previous thread's degeneration into an outlet for political conspiracy theories. To avoid the same fate for this thread, PLEASE do not post off-topic here. If you really want to talk about politics, historical nasties, or how this crash may involve some intentional and conspiratorial act, please go to JB – or a different website.

The purpose of this thread is to discuss the accident itself: i.e. what is known about it, and thence to discuss what may have happened and what lessons may be learned.

So... first off, can one of our friends in Poland or Russia bring us up to date on developments in the past few days. For instance, there was supposed to be a news conference.

The only devellopment I wait is the official publication of the content of the boxes (black .. good name!)
All others informations (it's enough in the former thread) is meaningless.

What polish PM said was a lot of bla bla bla
Then bla bla ... It's hard to tell exact time of the crash.
Then bla bla again and : I was told , that theres nothing extraordinary in black boxes recordings.

Thanks Grizz, good move and certainly in the original spirit of accident investigation.

I look forward to discussing information as it is learned and provided and hope that those who you have named will continue to provide their valuable input as it relates to the accident itself and what is known, especially from the recorders.
