Hi guys and gals, just wondering if anyone in here knows what the APS weight for a Boeing 737 200 series is? Cheers :ok:

From recollection, I seem to recall about 28 tonnes is in the ball park, but obviously that will vary as a function of the options specified. The 28 tonnes number was for ex BA aircraft with 106 seats and is the Basic Weight, not the APS weight.

APS weights vary from aircraft to aircraft depending on configuration etc. As for limiting weights the following may help.

Max Zero Fuel Weight = 43,091 kgs
Max T/OFF Weight = 53,070 kgs
Max landing = 46,720 kgs

These figures come from the Air New Zealand Manual 737-200, but once again they will vary between operators depending on engine installation etc.

Cheers :ok:

MTOW varied a great deal.

Early aircraft 49442 kg (and ZFW as low as 399xx kg - don't remember exactly)
Many were 53070 kg as above.
Some later ones 55111kg
Later still up to about 57000 kg, I think.

APS weights:

Early pax-only about 28000kg
Early -9 powered -QC freighters about 29000kg
Later pax-only (-15 engines) about 29000 kg

The 737-200 changed greatly over its production life, so you will get a wide variety of answers.
