Hello All

Just a question with regards to CRj2's and their performance.

I have never seen a CRJ2 on departure turn before passing 2000ft. They always maintain rwy hdg as it were until 2000ft, to put it in simpler words. Is there a specific reason for this? Or is it perhaps something stated in the SOP's and is company specific?

Do all CRJ's fly like this?

In my company it is 400RA....(AGL).

Just have to watch your bank angle with respect to speed you're climbing at.

usually 400' AGL per company procedure, but all you need is V2+10 to manuever safely. (without retracting flaps off course). That's pretty much what we do in KDCA rwy 1 DEP. V2+10 start turning or you'll get in big trouble haha... maybe look up videos of CRJ2s departing DCA in the net.
