Norwegian major newspaper VG reports a KLM flight slid off the runway after a flight from Amsterdam. Anyone got anything on this one?

All I can see is "AD CLSD" right now, which would indicate something's up...

Was not pleasant weather there last night when we left :(

We have started to get CNL on flightplans from ENGM tonight. Much like yesterday really, when the last flight of the day from ENGM landed 5 hrs late! I was a tired ATCO when I turned off the RWY lights 0430 this morning. (Was supposed to close at midnight) It's shaping up to be an encore tonight....... :uhoh:

No doubt!

I just did a history seach on the met.no site

Guess this period set them back a bit:

Still, the weather is not all that bad now, but if they have a backlog of snowlclearence you never know. New Notam just rolled off the AFTN printer, until 2330EST. Looks promising.....

Now for the KLM, wonder if really went off the runway, or if it's a case of Gardermoens "high speed exits" (I use the term loosely) claiming yet another victim. :E

Last time I went in there it was rvr 250 temp -11 fzfg.. now that was interesting.

I also wonder if something happened. It's very quiet on the Dutch forum.

Hi,

Apparently, KLM had one wheel off RWY acc to rpts (for what they are worth) Anyway, no evac, A/C docked at gate, etc, so no harm apparently. done.

And the wx WAS quite hvy here in Oslo earlier tonight, almost had to do a CAT III to get car into garage.

Cheers,

When the airport reopened the KLM aircraft returned back to AMS as per normal.

Is there a Dutch forum on pprune? Would it be time to start one?
