I was just wondering that what`s requirements for Oz grade 3 instructor.

In NZ its 150 PIC and 25 hrs dual (so normally FIC course consist 50hrs solo and 25hrs dual) and cost about $15000-17000 NZ

But i was looking at Oz FIC course and it says 30 hrs dual with Grade 1 and 20 hrs with grade 2.. so what's the PIC time requirements for Grade 3 test.. and in NZ B-cat needs (400 PIC and 250 instructing time) whats grade2 Oz require?

PS; is there any place u would recommend to do FIC course?(which likely offer u job after the FIC) I understand it's hard to climb from grade 3 to 2 whether in NZ or Oz(my instructor didnt get paid when he was under 100hrs supervision)

Unless its changed since I did mine a few years back (I am pretty confident it hasn't) you need to hold a CPL(A) before commencing the rating, and a NVFR before the test. Theoretically you could do your FIR with 150hrs and a brand new CPL(A). The 30hrs Dual and 20hrs mutual is the hours the course must consist of.

Grade 2 you need 250hrs instructional time, of which 200hrs must be ab initio and 50hrs nav.

Grade 1 is 750hrs, I don't recall what the split is for ab initio.

Hope that helps a bit.

There is instrutor course at FTA... does it increase any chance of getting hired at FTA after that? their requirement is GRADE 2 but they stated that they consider grade 3 if they willing to receive the standarisation prog.
