Just doing a little research on various operators fuel policies with regards to the 747-400. If you are able could you please post or PM what your airline's policy is ie A to B +5% contingency plus App and MAP plus B to C etc + 30 min hold at 1500ft. If able please include the conditions required for the carriage of a destination alternate (ie. Met conditions, single runway use).
Many thanks

In most I've come across, and the one I fly now, all what you said [std] plus min 10.5 if the destination /altn wx marginal or known for congestion eg Lhr.
I know of another major SE Asia operator reducing the cont from 5% to just 2-3% for LH/ULH sectors. They work on pred flt plans updated 1/2 way when new fresh plans come over the ACARS with new pred [winds].

Legal required reserves, to land with not less than 10.5 at the destination or 7.0 at the alternate. Even with a close alternate, 3.5 is minimum planned fuel to alternate.

11.3 tons Minimum depending on WX and Altn airport
If Cat II/III Consider extra 5 tons at least
