This has been puzzling me for a week.
Flying south, VFR, out of Atlanta the approach controller had a very impressive manner. I was just reflecting on what film actor his voice most resembled when a pilot chimed in: "Hey, is this Buzz?" to which the reply was "Nope, I'm much younger than him, fortunately" or something very similar.
So now I'm wondering whether 76 - year old Buzz Aldrin could still be working as an approach controller, especially as his bios on the internet refer to Atlanta.
Any one know?
