View Full Version : Farmstrip in Dorset

We spotted a very neat farmstrip near the A354 about 9 miles Northeast of Dorchester - one hangar with PPR painted on the roof, which obviously everyone will respect.
I have roots and family in the area and would love to know if PPR is ever forthcoming and who to contact?

A little research suggests this might be Bagber Farm, near Blandford.
Does anyone have a contact name and number?
Thanks

Thank you, Superpilot.
Obviously, I'm not as clever as you, or as MODEST
What I was hoping for was a response from someone with personal experience of the strip.

Bagber Farm appears to be rather near Henstidge (you may as well fly in there), and not near Dorchester or Blandford (20+ miles north of Dorchester).
There is another farm strip near Milborne St. Andrew (just NE of the A35 / A354 split), where one chap I know based his aeroplane for a while last year. This may be the one you are thinking of ? Has a decent sized strip from what I remember.

I think that the Google link may be a red herring, as I found these details:
BAGBER FARM.Between Milton Abbas and Milbourne St Andrew.Grid Ref SY811997.There is a private Strip here with a grass runway approx NNE-SSW. NB:Previously listed as DEVERALL FARM.Runway is grass o4/22 540m
You can see it on local.live.com here (http://local.live.com/?v=2&sp=aN.sfzjr0gtb2s0_Bagber%2520Farm%2520Strip___)
