The Excel 767 has landed!

At approx 1940 (local) 30th April 2001 the first Excel Airways B767-204ER TF-ATO (ex G-BNYS) arrived at LGW, and I have to admit she looks even better than she did in Britannia colours - one beautiful looking bird! - anyone else think so?

I missed this a/c when it was r/o of GPA's at MST last week. Since then BAL (Sweden) B757 was r/o in Arkia livery and at present B767 G-BOPB is being worked on (2nd for Air Atlanta/Excel?).

Yes, full leather passenger seating is fitted to the B767.

Hey buddy, for a "Line Trainer", your comments regarding Air Atlanta's crews were WAY out of line. With very few exceptions, the guys AND Gals at AAI are, at least as, or more, professional than a lot I can mention from VS and BA! Yeah, personal experience!

So swallow your bile and work on your first turbojet rating before you blast those guys again. They're not all snow-negroids......

Let's calm the rhetoric a bit. Geeny's and Paladini's shots won't help.

I believe the new Excel colors on the 767 was the issue. Is it pretty? Can't see it from Kuwait.

I can partially agree with both your comments (on AAI pay, not species) and can also attest, positively, to the high degree of professionalism of the AAI guys (747's at least). I operated for AAI last year on both the VS and Excel contracts out of MAN. Couldn't beat the cameraderie with a big stick. "ANI" still does a damned good job picking his 'stars'.

Sure, AAI pays a bit less, but that's the price one must pay to NOT be tied to the same routes and bases all the time. It's much more challenging and interesting to work in that type of demanding environment. Maybe, Geenie should try it before he chucks any more rocks OR CX maxims around.

Saw the 767 today at work for the first time today, she looks good!!

I must admit it pulled a few heart strings not to see it in BAL colours, but im sure you guys will like it as much as I did.
