Midway Airlines, which had been Chapter 11 prior to 9/11 and ceased operations 9/12, received some $10 million in grants from the US DOT and plans to resume operations in late December with 4-6 B-737-700s.
Markets from the Raleigh/Durham North Carolina hub will be Newark, Boston, NY LaGuardia and Tampa, Orlando and Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
Recalling some 50 pilots after contract concessions. Grim prospects, but at least some pilots will be back to work, for however long. :rolleyes: :rolleyes:
