Can anyone recommend a book giving a broad histioy of the 747 and also an outline of the various systems. I'm looking for one so that I can prepare for an interview with a 747 operator.

Cheers

Thanks SNAM,

I have a copy of HTBJ and have read it a couple of times. I'd like some up to date info on the -400 and the development of the aircraft. Davies' book is very good but somewhat dated.

Thanks for posting

Failing anything else Jemy, it might be worth trying;

"BOEING Planemaker to the World",

ISBN 1-57145-045-9

It's a potted history of pretty much every aircraft manufactured by Boeing from the Model 1 to the 777.
