In today's narrow route briefing:
RAC : FROM 04/05/22 16:55 TO 04/05/22 17:50 B0854/04
E)AUS 04-05-0563/1504/AS6
TEMPORARY CONTROLLED AIRSPACE ESTABLISHED AS FOLLOWS
AWY L9 EXTENDED VERTICALLY FM KENET TO MIMBI FL65/3000FT AMSL
1655/1750. CONTROL AUTHORITY LACC
F)3000FT AMSL G)FL065
For the benefit of anyone who missed the discussion of a virtually identical Notam a few weeks back, these waypoints are not shown on the VFR charts typically used by the very pilots that it is presumably addressed to.
I know that Mike Cross raised this amongst many issues at the recent AIS meeting. Is there no way that we can get through to the originator of this Notam that this information is virtually useless to the people it is intended for?
Incidentally, Notamplot (which first alerted me to the Notam - thanks Ian) shows the area of influence as a circle, not the outline of the airway. Presumably that's because the originator couldn't be bothered to give the co-ordinates in the Q-Line.
Apologies for banging on about this.
