Hi, hope someone out there can help me. I am trying to find out on A330/340, B777, B747-400 how many fuel tanks do they have and where located. from search and manufacturers sites I have only found half the story. I know where tanks are on 747 but not the capacity. I can not find anything on 777. 330/340 I know has stab tank, ?capacity. on 340 mention has been made(from search) inner and outer, ?are outer just right at the tips and inners are main wing tanks. Thank for any help you can give me to fill in the blanks.

srl,

this is for the b777-200IGW, other models might have different capacity.

LEFT 36,200 liters 29,100 kgs
CENTER 98,800 liters 79,300 kgs
RIGHT 36,200 liters 29,100 kgs

* at SG 0.8029

there are also 2 surge tanks, 1 at outboard of each wing tanks where fuel will eventually flow back into the wing tanks.

Tank layout is: reserve tanks are outboard of the outboard pylons mains 1+4 between the pylons and mains 2+3 between the inboard pylons and the fuselage, centre wing tank as it implies, between the inboard mains. The vent surge tanks are at the wing tips (they will hold 125 galls each). Stab. tank inner two thirds of the stabilizer and one vent surge tank on the r/h side. (that will hold 70 galls I think).

DAMN and BLAST Apologies it looks such a mess.......I give up! http://www.pprune.org/ubb/NonCGI/redface.gif
