£250 Jetblue is a bargain and lots of empty seats!

Edinburgh Airport are advertising leases for 3 F&B units (2 existing and 1 new, by combining 2 shops). The video gives a fly-through of the units.
  • All Bar One - Q4 2025
  • Kurt Geiger and Luggage Point - Q1 2025
  • Burger King - Q1 2026
The video also mentions that they forecast to have 19 million passengers travelling through the airport by 2028.

Quite a prediction. Another 4m in approx three and a half years from now. They must be confident of attracting substantially more business from existing and new carriers. I wonder who?

Well as a regular pax through EDI if they’re going for 19 million I just pray they improve the passenger facilities.

I remember the old burger king in EDI - landside where the entrance to security is now. Im surprised it took this long for them to return.

BK have been at EDI for a number of years now. The video suggests they will be exiting. Either they intimated their intention to not extend the lease or the airport have given them notice to leave. The current set up would be ideal for another chain to come straight in and start operations fairly quickly. The obvious chain that comes to mind is McDonalds.

There is trip report of the first flight from JFK on YouTube for anyone that is interested. The onboard product looks decent (apart from the pouch of non-alcoholic whisky  )

Probably from Glasgow.

Delta might be extending the operation of ATL-EDI for S25, found this flight on the Delta website, so far it is only this date that has been loaded, but would explain why the JFK flight is scheduled to spend over 7 hours in EDI

Flights now on sale in both directions from April 14th meaning the season will start approximately 5 weeks earlier than this year.

The inbound ATL will fly back to JFK, with the inbound JFK working the outbound ATL.

No news as of yet on Boston

spacedog 27th May 2024 08:28

At those prices not so sure how long they will remain on sale.

Suspect they are fully flex fares at the moment

VS A350 from MCO reported burst front landing gear on departure and has just landed at EDI and come to a halt on the runway. Believe flights are now diverting.

Somebody caught the landing on X:
