BRS have lost quite a few TUI flights......wonder what is happening as 2022 is most realistically be the year most will take holidays after the last 1.5 years of COVID.
|
Jet2 effect maybe? They were originally going to base 6 aircraft at BRS but maybe now looking at 5?
This is TUI S22 summary for CWL so far. 3 based aircraft, 23 destinations, 44 weekly departures, 1 non based. Faro dropped, Sharm el Sheikh dropped, Naples returned. Palma de Mallorca 6 weekly Tenerife 3 weekly Dalaman 3 weekly Ibiza 3 weekly Antalya 2 weekly Alicante 2 weekly Malaga 2 weekly Lanzarote 2 weekly Paphos 2 weekly Corfu 2 weekly Rhodes 2 weekly Zante 2 weekly Kos 2 weekly Menorca 2 weekly Keffalonia 1 weekly Reus 1 weekly Bourgas 1 weekly Naples 1 weekly Gran Canaria 1 weekly Dubrovnik 1 weekly Enfidha 1 weekly Larnaca 1 weekly Heraklion 1 weekly |
Canarian Airways
Anymore news on when (or if) Canarian Airways will start TFS ?
CWL & GLA are the only U.K. airports to be announced and believe they are due to start in June (all COVID dependent of course). Note the A319 has now been painted into their colours so things must be progressing well..... |
You mean Lattitude (spelling intended) ?
Latest from Web Site seems to be aimed at up market Packages and CWL is no longer mentioned, perhaps chased away by Wizzair even before that starts! |

Good news!

Can see that Eastern have added JER onto their booking engine (no destinations showing or announcement made yet).
I wonder if CWL-JER is on the cards here as it would suit the based aircraft especially over the Saturday and Sunday period..... |
Belief is it'll be Southampton.
|
It would fit into their schedule as an evening flight. Or make BHD the evening flight and JER the mid morning flight. Shouldn't need extra crew.
Or can see BHD going altogether. |
They would be mad to start that route. Blue Islands are already 4x daily with the loganair codeshare as a booster.
|
It's one of Southampton staple routes so it'd be surprising if they didn't launch it for me anyway.
Would be nice if they launched it from CWL as well though! |
Agree here that JER would slot in quite nicely for them given the J41 is parked up all weekend long. Manx/BA used the J41 to JER along with the ATP back in the day.
I can’t see them dropping BHD as they are going head to head with EI/Stobart starting a month before them too plus the T3 are cheaper on some days too. Be great to see JER back on the boards as a great staycation destination. |
It's unlikely they will use it on weekends. Would make crewing it more difficult. Weekdays work as the crew can do 4 sectors (2 return flights).
As for BHD, can't see T3s prices staying low for long, it's not possible using the J41 to keep prices low. Plus EI have a much bigger brand presence as well as a better aircraft from a passenger perspective. |
Looking at the times it would only be possible Monday to Thursday IF the crew are Cardiff based and not Belfast based. Looking at the weekend timing's it looks like the aircraft returns to Belfast and doesn't stay in Cardiff.
|
knowing the way T3 jump on and off of routes, I doubt it will last long!
|
I thought the BHD route is using the CWL based aircraft and crew ? It is filling in the gap between the VLY flights. A Saturday and/or Sunday JER may work in their favour.
|
That's what my understanding was of the flight.

Well the aircraft will be based at CWL except between Friday night and Sunday by the looks of it. And I've been told by a well sourced contact that the Jersey route definitely won't be Cardiff. |
Good news to see both Loganair and Edinburgh back!
|
All correct as also showing on the Loganair website with fares at £49.99 oneway.
Seems Loganair done a complete u-turn as I’m sure they said they’d not return to CWL when they pulled both the EDI & GLA routes. |
