UA "only" have the B737 MAX on order for their short/medium haul fleet. No one known if/when they will fly again and how many might be delivered going forward per month. Maybe they'll take some more in the future.
DL and AA at least have some open orders for A220 and/or A321neo.

After Allegiant another nice customer EZY found on the other side for some of their older aircraft.

More likely a good placing by the leasing company who own the 319s rather than EZY.

Easyjet bans nuts on all flights to protect passengers

OltonPete 11th May 2019 11:20

Emergency Saturday 11 May

G-EZNM A319 routing Newcastle - Bristol diverted to BHX on emergency squawk 7700 this morning - reported as smoke in the cockpit and apparently but I have not seem any official confirmation other than the what is on the easyjet site stating passengers to continue their journey by coach. The aircraft remains in BHX at this time.

It was descending through 18000 feet over Shropshire at 07.32 when the squawk changed to 7700 and headed towards BHX landing 7.48.

A quick Internet search only found a previous event when a "Bristol bound easyjet diverts to Birmingham due burning smell in the cabin" but that was 25th Feb.

EasyJet will wet lease a E190 aircraft from the German airline WDL Aviation starting 1st August. The aircraft will be based at LGW.

https://wdl-aviation.de/en/wdl-aviat...-with-easyjet/

Does anyone know if the E90 will be used to operate specific routes from LGW?

fjencl 1st Jul 2019 22:43

How long is WDL operating for easyjet for.

inOban 9th Jul 2019 12:46

According to ch- aviation easyJet have confirmed a major relaunch of their holiday brand for S20. What puzzles me is the conflict with both TCX and TUI who both use EZY for thinner routes, certainly from EDI.

toledoashley 9th Jul 2019 13:55

I can'y see why there would be a conflict - BA offer seats to Thomas Cook and TUI, as well as selling their own holidays. The board of the relaunched easyJet Holidays is going to have a lot of ex-TUI staff.

willy wombat 9th Jul 2019 14:12

I imagine easyjet is wondering whether there will be a Thomas Cook and a TUI for much longer and acting accordingly. Also it will not have escaped their attention how well Jet 2's holiday operation goes.

Not even one new route that touches the UK ? Somebody in Luton must be rather worried about the B word !

AirportPlanner1 10th Jul 2019 08:31

17 out of the 24 announced are package holiday routes....

Rumours about the reinvigoration of the holidays brand look credible
