Summer 2019 schedule
I spent a few hours this afternoon putting together my usual summer schedule summary using airline booking websites - this is what it's looking like for Monday, 8th July 2019:

Construction update
April marks the first anniversary of the official start of the Dart project between the railway station and the terminal. The Dart route is being dug out through the approach lights to runway 08. A signature bridge will cross the airport approach road at this point

Reybridge, in part of their work doing Foxtrot, the lighting will be LEDs with this being rolled out throughout other taxiways. Suppose with current summer restrictions then the opportunity arose to do the whole job and reduce running costs.
Along with reduced NEO noice footprints will the summer restictions really be indefinite to quieter aircraft? |
As Buster has hinted LLAOL has submitted a planning application to the airport owner (the council) to increase both day and night noise limits as LLAOL can't meet them. When approved (because it will happen) overnight biz jets will return for the summer months from next year.

A signature bridge is a bridge that makes a statement but is now being described as an asymmetric structure and a gateway bridge which will be back lit with LED's. The ski slope is meant to represent an aircraft taking off. Luton has a long history of not building to artists impressions so we will see what the airport ends up with.

I see there was another false fire alarm and a photo of passengers pressed against the outside of the terminal as they have nowhere to go. Anyone remember when the bus caught fire at Stansted? Just hope that doesn't happen at Luton.

I see both Tromso and Verona on sale by Wizz for winter 2019-20. Some prices for Tromso are already quite steep not so Verona. Regarding football if both Chelsea and Arsenal reach the final of the Europa League it is being held in Baku Azerbaijan on Wednesday 29 May there is going to be a real scramble for aircraft across Europe with the Champions League final being held on the Saturday in Madrid with both Liverpool and Tottenham having a chance to reach the final.

It was quite the same with Kiev last year (?). Although probably fair to say that in normal conditions Baku is going to be quite a lot harder without charters. Wasn’t there a SAA charter from LPL last year?
