has anyone else looked at the Aer Lingus times for next summer. One off the planes seems to land back from Gatwick at 18:55. Surely that wont be it parked up for the night? I know it too little time to fit in another short there and back flight any more mention off them flying to Tenerife etc through the night?

keep_er_lit 18th Dec 2012 16:55

Not a hope of aer lingus flying Tenerife, lanzarote etc of BHD....the runway is too short.I'd say even faro and Malaga will be a push on certain days.

BHD2BFS 20th Dec 2012 13:38

I see Bournemouth airport is now advertising on therouteshop.com and they show a large demand for flights to Belfast, is this a possible route for BE or maybe EIR?

AirGuru 20th Dec 2012 13:55

The CWL service still needs an extra few weekly rotations with BE, everytime im on it, its always nearly full !

GAZMO 20th Dec 2012 14:12

CWL, judging by the caa stats BHD to CArdiff only has approx 3000 pax per month, hardly requiring extra flights

AirGuru 20th Dec 2012 15:05

If you worked it out then its actually around a 70% LF based on the figures you quote, which i also imagine is pretty profitable for all involved, some BE routes operate at much lower figures than those mentioned and have been going for years in the scheds

BHD2BFS 20th Dec 2012 15:13

Bournemouth is estimating pax figures of around 88,000, a lot I know but there is obviously a new route there for someone to pick up

GAZMO 20th Dec 2012 15:22

With its close proximity to SOU I cannot see BE taking up the option as it would reduce numbers on the BHD to SOU route?

BHD2BFS 20th Dec 2012 15:28

Maybe EIR could do a W rotation from Dublin in the morning?

What a fantastic welcome, especially liked the way that staff got involved, this would certainly perk up the positive attitude at a few more airports!
