Has anyone heard anything about Ryanair ordering (15) B787
It might not be true but the story going around STN is
they placed the order on the 29 of march and listed the
order under LCAL can anyone confirm this eatherway

Could LCAL stand for Low Cost AirLine ???
LCAL is Low Cost Aircraft Leasing, founded in 2005 by a guy called Clive Joy to deal exclusively in 787 leases. Contact details on their website list them as based in Dubai. Press releases on the Boeing website too.

(Not having a go at DONTTELLTHEPAX, but more rumours would be put to rest if people put a few minutes of web searches in. Didn't take me more than two minutes to find this stuff).

Anybody know of links to Ryanair or is the STN rumour just somebody stirring the pot?

DONTTELLTHEPAX 23rd Apr 2007 21:01

This rumour was going around in a Ryanair office
and I think it came from a overseas training manager
who had just come back from GRO, but like I say
things like this go around on a weekly basis.

cesare.caldi 24th Apr 2007 22:42

Do you have a good source for this news?

cesare.caldi 25th Apr 2007 16:01

Tomorrow morning Ryanair press conference at Trapani (TPS), probably will be annunced new routes. There are rumors for HHN-TPS and CRL-TPS

Patuta 25th Apr 2007 17:05

For tomorrow also in Bremen a press conference is announced - likely they'll inform about the new routes flown by a third plane from september on.

cesare.caldi 25th Apr 2007 17:19

Any rumors for new routes from Bremen?

MUFC_fan 25th Apr 2007 17:39

I would LOVE to see BLK added, but will probably include EMA and LPL.

SAM-EMA 25th Apr 2007 17:43

Just a few I thought of:

East Midlands, Liverpool, Prestwick, Madrid, Rome (Ciampino),
Stockholm (Skavsta).

SAM-EMA

cesare.caldi 25th Apr 2007 17:44

At this time if 1+1=2 I belive in BRE-TPS...

These are possible now routes from Bremen?

Charlie Roy 25th Apr 2007 17:59

Previously I heard a rumour:

Bremen - Vasteräs

Patuta 25th Apr 2007 20:12

:hmm: Quoting from my post #42 from this thread:

On a press conference in January Bremens airport boss Manfred Fluss said, new destinations will likely be Stockholm (presumably Skavsta), Biarritz, Carcassonne, Sevilla and Faro - subject to FR's ultimate decision.

I would think the same, but it doesn't seem to be a route that makes much sense, does it?

Thinking that FR could first add much more attractive route to Sicily, like Belgium (CRL), Netherlands (EID), Germany Hahn or North Italy (BGY)...

BTW the biggest Sicilian comunity in Europe is exactly located around Charlerois...

MUFC_fan 26th Apr 2007 11:50

WOW! MORE ROUTES FOR THE EU ISLANDS!

Surprided no UK routes. When is Paris to be made a base?

cesare.caldi 26th Apr 2007 21:48

Ryanair open 7 new route from Bremen:

Alghero (Sardinia) AHO 28th September 2 Weekly
Bratislava BTS 25th September 3 Weekly
Malta MLA 26th September 3 Weekly
Milan BGY 26th September 4 Weekly
Paris BVA 25th September Daily
Stockholm NYO 5th June 3 Weekly
Trapani (Sicily) TPS 26th September 2 Weekly

With these new route BGY go to 25 routes and AHO to 10!

After today annunced expansion of Bremen base, next annunce will be for new routes from HHN and CRL, probably next week...

Both of which were promised (last year) to be linked by Ryanair to Liverpool in 2007.

The local newspaper "Weser Kurier" is quoting FR's Sean Coyle, additional routes from Bremen would certainly be Faro and probably Mallorca. Those destinations would start spring next year.

Coyle also said, Bremen has started sensationally with bookings only 5% under average. Most ambitious expectations have been exceeded. Ryanair would reach its goal of one million passengers a year earlier then predicted - in this accounting year.

My personal observance is a lot of norwegian and finnish backpackers in town. The airport also counts many more Dutchmen leaving from Bremen.

By now FR has already announced 18 routes till september. This is a quantum jump for Bremen, where charter had gone down and the number of passengers decreased in 2006.

Ryanairs stretegy for Bremen seems to be filling the gap of sun destinations. We all would have expected another route to the UK as EMA was a hot candidate in the forums. My personal favorite would have been PIK.

But let's be patient. FR's cute little terminal can take a lot more travellers.

Actually me as a Bremer, I'm happy! :ok: :D :E :D :ok: :D :E :D :ok:

Ryanair is the most punctual airline in the world!

Ryanair is the most punctual airline in the world!

http://www.uk-airport-news.info/stan...ews-270407.htm
I searched the US DoT website for evidence of this. Found nothing.
Link please!

Ryanairs claims of 85% punctuality are unfounded. What are their methods of calculating on-times?
Where is the independent statistic?
Likewise on passenger complaint rates?
Link please!

By the way, your other link takes us to a website called 'uk-airport-news.info'.
Checking the Whois registration it belongs to one Nick Bradshaw, who is also a registered owner of '1stholidaystore.co.uk' - a commercial website.
UK Airport Info also sells advertising.
So it is a commercial website, with a registered owner who is in commercial operations within the industry.
"And if you want to support us, please book your airport hotel and airport parking via our website sponsor".
Who would that be? Ryanair perchance??

Hardly objective or independent then, eh?:hmm:
