Eastern offering LBA-SOU for £29 one way including luggage booked less than a week in advance on a 29-seater. Last summer, advance fares started at £120.
Presume this is a last desperate attempt to win the battle against Flybe on this route...

I heard 23 working notice. More to follow.

RAFAT 12th Feb 2015 13:55

Well done and all the best to the guys and gals moving on, but the volume of leavers probably won't bother the company one little bit, there are loads in the hold pool ready to step in and every self-funded rating (for those applicable) is even more money in the bank for the boss. Obviously not what you want to hear and it shouldn't be like that, but that's the reality of it.

Just a job 15th Feb 2015 19:15

Yeah,... Not sure about the 'loads in the hold pool' thing - I mean, I'm sure you're correct but those 'loads' are what? - 250-500 hour F.O's? Where are the hold pools of D.E Capt's? Eastern simply doesn't pay enough to attract Capt's from anywhere else. Plus, my God, they've got to get the unbelievable crew disruption under control. They'll simply reduce, reduce, reduce work until the lines merge again - the lines being, 'work to do' vs 'absolute skeleton crew available to do said work'. There seems to be this really weird, blinkered refusal
to hire anybody......I wish Bristow would just pony up the wherewithal to take over completely.

Aircraft (Jetstream 41) landed with AFS already forming a welcoming party, taxied off runway and shut down. Pax evacuated down steps and herded away, later to be bussed to the terminal. AFS seen foaming starboard engine. All inbound flights delayed.

31 passengers?? Babies on board perhaps.

AnAussieNut 19th Feb 2015 02:11

AvHerald reports it as a fuel pressure issue.

Eastern operating two flights from Shetland to Dublin with the same Saab, looks like Thursday's only, is this a regular thing to do with the BP contract they have? Seems to do ABZ-LSI-DUB-LSI-DUB-LSI then position back to Aberdeen

El Bunto 20th Feb 2015 06:33

I'm sure some of the experts will know precisely, but from a spotter's perspective that Dublin oil-run has been running since at least March 2014.

T's & C's

Just to clarify, from my point of view, paid from day one, Hotac and travel covered, bonded over three years. I have OGP hours.

I started in October, based ABZ

Crewing disruption has been a regular thing with Eastern, and for some years. How come the CAA don't notice during audits ?

budlee 22nd Apr 2015 20:50

Why don't they notice?

From the CAA website:

'The UK Government requires that the CAA’s costs are met entirely from its charges on those whom it regulates. Unlike many other countries, there is no direct Government funding of the CAA’s work.'

BACF leased T3 S2000's

Notice on jethro's fleet listings that T3 S2000 G-CDKA is to be leased to BACF.

BA Cityflyer Fleet List

Does anyone know if the aircraft is replacing either G-CDEB or G-CERZ already leased to BACF or is this lease in addition to these aircraft. If in addition what route will the aircraft be used to operate

SWBKCB 22nd May 2015 05:47

On of the EMB-135's de-registered to Nigeria recently

mcdonnst2 17th Jun 2015 10:16

Hi,
Can anyone tell me what the rostering schedule is like at Eastern. Days in/days off?

BAladdy 24th Jun 2015 20:44

Has T3 decided to move away from operating ER3 and ER4 aircraft. The reason I ask is that 3 Embraer aircraft have left the fleet in just over a year.

ER4 - G-EMBP - Last operated for T3 mid May 2014. Now registered to Novo Air as S2-AGL

ER3 - G-CGMB - Was removed from service on 4th June 2015. Now under Nigerian registration

ER3 - G-CGMC - Was removed from service on 23rd May 2015. Now under Nigerian registration

Anyone know if the two remaining ER4's are here to stay or are they expected to leave the fleet in the near future? and are T3 planning to replace these aircraft and if so with what, Newer Embraer jets or S2000's?.

Just wondered if anybody had any up to date information on the interview process these days please? What sort of technical questions and any difficult interview questions?

Cheers
