This is hilarious - what has Gordon Dewar got to do with it?

You have branded the comments as "marketing spew fabricated by GD" and then go on to provide your own fabricated marketing spew.
Thought it was a bit of a strange rant myself...

Nothing like GLA securing a new route to bring the EDI obsessed fan boys out, eh A350Saltire? ;)

I'm sure I just said that GLA's new route was a good addition and wished it well or maybe I'm just living in a parallel universe!

It was just your nonsensical rant that made me laugh!

Do Loganair have an IATA code? I think LC went back into the pot?

Used until very recently by ECAir (Equatorial Congo Airlines), although they ceased operations last month.

Seems to show that IATA have assigned LM to Loganair

Is anyone aware of Loganair's fleet replacement or expansion plans?

PPJN has been updated and states the D328's are going to be replaced with more SAAB's, just wondering if anyone can shed some light onto this.

Thanks :)

Jethro's Fleet has them Dorniers are up for sale. They are planning more flights this summer, but not sure if that's due to better scheduling of aircraft, or if any new airframes are on there way. Also with the BE franchise ending in August, Im sure more changes will be on their way.

Loganair flight plans are filed as LOG I think

SeeFlyer 17th Jan 2017 16:50

Thanks!

Interesting, so the Do328 are definitely going soon-ish then!

I guess getting more 340's/2000's makes sense to harmonize the fleet, the 340 can act as a direct replacement for the Do328 with the similar seating configuration but I suppose it depends how much they think they can push the routes. A full 2000 in 50Y is probably a better money spinner? Although decent SAAB's must be difficult to come by nowadays.

The booking engine is coming online in March apparently.

LOG is the ICAO code which they have continued to use, along with the "Logan" callsign for the duration of the FlyBe franchise.

LM is the IATA code.

According to the Jethro's fleet listing site: Loganair have acquired another Saab 340 (G-LGNZ) which is planned to arrive prior to S17. They will also op a ATR42 for evaluation purposes from early Feb.
Loganair Fleet List

goldeneye 31st Jan 2017 10:00

Any idea where the ATR42 is coming from for the evaluation ?

CabinCrewe 31st Jan 2017 11:14

Its a French registered ATR 72 routing via Channel islands

aurigny72 31st Jan 2017 11:47

ATR 72-600

Arctic Circle 31st Jan 2017 11:59

In the next few months Braathens Regional in Sweden will be replacing all of their Saab 2000s with ATR 72-600s, I think they have 8 or 9 of them. No idea where those Saabs will be going and if Braathens own them or lease them.

The Saab 2000 is an expensive machine to operate and not as reliable as the ATR 72.

But in a strong crosswind...

fjencl 31st Jan 2017 13:52

Where will it be based

billyg 31st Jan 2017 17:41

Where will it be based
Glasgow , of course , where the airline are based , it's sitting on the deck there just now !

goldeneye 1st Feb 2017 13:22

The ATR appears to be F-WWEZ and flew from Glasgow to Sumburgh this afternoon.

jamestkirk 3rd Feb 2017 12:49

I think that Saab stop supporting the 2000's from 2020.

If true, what a shame. It p'sses all over every other turboprop.
