I don't know why 2 or 3 A/P's make a diff.? Both are CAT III auto land's are they not?

The 7 cabin crew that you need on the 75 will make a differance on cost aswell as the general upkeep of a/c and burning more fuel due larger empty wt and bigger engines etc.

Extra seats are a given but you have to sell those seats due you not?

I am not sure what the performance of the 757 is for short RWY'S but I would say and this is a guess here. That the 73-800 has comparable performance if not better.

On leace prices etc Well it depends who you are and what you got them for. Transavia most probably got a totally differant deal to Ryanair on the 800's.

Charters have made the 75 work for them for many years though. So they do work!:ok:

Where do you get 7 cabin crew from, you require 4 on B737-800 and 5 on B757.
It's a long time since l was at school, but l make that one extra crew member for an extra 39 pax, that is at 228 seats in B757, l think that's the config.

757 200 or 300. I was flying with a charter a couple of weeks ago on a 300 and I think the was 7 but it might of been 5 I cant remember to be honest.

The requirements are one Cabin Crew member per 50 seats.

The company definitley has plans for up to seven 757's.

PM announced at last years training meeting that the 757's were being purchased to compete with the 738. In his words he described how the operating costs would be equal to the 738 due to the fact that there would be no heavy lease payments to make, thus making it viable.

As I have said before, PM is a wise old owl. Liked by many, directed and totally dedicated. If he says the 757's are going to work - they will!

4 screw-etc.
The company definitely has plans..... Thats nice so did I until I was screwed. Same as the F27 and Electra guys.
PM announced did he, well that makes it true then.
In your opinion PM is a wise old owl, well as a "senior" trainer I suppose you have to tow the party line.
If he says the 75 will work they will. You wouldn't like to buy some shares in Ostrich farm that I have, it is a real money spinner!!!!!!

Ivan

Just to restate - 4screwsaircrew is NOT the same person as 4Screwaircrew, and therefore not the '"senior" trainer' that you refer to.

Please do not fall into the trap of attributing any status to 4screwsaircrew that they are not due.

I do not wish to cast any aspersions, however it seems a little suspicious to have chosen a name so close to another's (and even take the same "wherever I lay my hat" location) and would hate to see 4Screwaircrew suffer due to misidentification or indeed any malicious postings that maybe made (I do not suggest this is their intent, but it is open to the possibility).

One for the mods perhaps.

While i have no time for PM, in fact none for any of the board & most of the management. I've known the senior trainer(4screw,singular!) in question for many years & whatever his allegiances or opinions he is a thoroughly decent man.
