MV; you're right there. The fog dropped in at about 1800ish and caused all sorts of issues. BE and RE both diverted along with a few BA flights. Later on, Air Malta went to BHX and stayed there until they found a Cat 3 pilot, Nouvelair went to LGW and operated from there, Balkan diverted to BHX and then came back wheh the weather lifted, First Choice went tech on stand 2, European arrived two hours late and the Excel which was already more than four hours late had tech issues when it arrived at 0200. All in all, an interesting evening's work! Top marks to the night-shift ramp team, they worked overly hard in turning the delayed flights around without any more delays. :ok:

Looks like EZY are chartering a 757 for their Prague flight this afternoon, first time I've seen that happen to EZY.

Yep, that is a first, usually its a case of aeroplane is broke-tough s***, come back tomorrow. but Thomas cook B757-200,G-JMCD has just turned up under EZY flt No from Manchester (EZY 8008) and is shown outbound to Malaga as EZY 6055. so what has happened for them to charter an a/c in to operate this flt, was Stelios or board members going on holiday on original a/c? !!!!!

Crew shortage I think. Easy very rarely sub-charter their flights. This is only the second time I can remember this happening at BRS - Astraeus operated an EDI sector last year.
