Scottish Airports

The three main scottish airports saw the biggest increase in passenger numbers compared to all other UK airports.

How old is that picture at the top of the page. Has Edinburgh not had a lot of work done to it?

The new part of the terminal is to the East of the part of the terminal in the photograph. The part of the terminal in in the photo is still the same although it is an old pic.

Edinburgh has had work done... but needs more, and we all know where...

there are plans afoot for new ATC tower and aircraft stands. Pax are being looked after as well with a new car park and the terminal extension brought forward to 2005. Not to mention diverting the Edinburgh/Glasgow line under the terminal.

The word is that the car park under construction at the top of the terminal approach road will be open in May and the operators will
be NCP.

Work on the multi-storey car park will start around the same time,
the current car park in front of the terminal will be built over and obviously out of action for months.

Rumours are rife that a new airport hotel will sit atop the multi-storey car park!

Work on the taxiways was rumoured to start within 2 weeks,
5 weeks ago!

The grassy field at the back of Almond House was the subject
of hotel planning permission on BAA's behalf two years ago!
