Dito Germanwings on CGN - STN. Germanwings will, however, add a daily TXL - STN in May.

Understand reducing from 2 to 1 x daily rotation at the end of October. Is this the beginning of the end for this route, following in the footsteps of the now defunct LTN-CGN?.

They are simply reducing to one a day frequency for a portion of the winter season as demand decreases. The route is actually doing quite well actually with a 65% load factor (thank you very much), WITH, I might add a 90% or better on time departures rate. In case you were curious, the break even load factor is somewhere around 40%, so stick that in your pipe and smoke it!

Well, the load factor for the route in April and May was, according to the CAA data, 38% ... (...and thus worse than on the LTN route (41% in May) which was axed at the end of June)...... Things must have improved dramatically if it is now 65% (what I seriously doubt)

Useless trivia: at least three of the last 7 evening inbound flights have had loads in excess of 80% (two of them nudging 90%).

The morning service has operated during that period; if they were going to cancel a morning flight, I'm sure that Sunday would have been a candidate as the evening service had few passengers!
