EZY to CDG
NCL to Bristol: 0700 / 0805 and 1925 / 2030
Bristol to NCL: 0830 / 0935 and 2055 / 2200
NCL to PRG: 0955 / 1305
PRG to NCL: 1335 / 1445
NCL to CDG: 1520 / 1755
CDG to NCL: 1825 / 1905
i reckon AF will find it tough and wouldnt be suprised if they dropped out after a while.......i suppose the only advantage that they have is the timings of their flights

Looking at the frequencies, I think AF is safe for a while. One flight per afternoon is not going to impinge too much on Air France's predominently business traffic. I think Flybe. to Belfast will be hardest hit. But who knows.

Alicante and Faro from Luton only compete with Monarch scheduled service (Crown). Monarch only started Faro quite recently.

Now that easyJet has published all of its schedules for summer 2003, why is there such a decrease in domestic services into BFS at the weekends?
Comparing winter 2002 with summer 2003, and including new routes to LGW and NCL for summer 2003, there is a 50% reduction in flights on Saturday and Sundays.
Winter 2002 to BRS/EDI/GLA/LPL/LTN/STN = 48 flights.
Summer 2003 to BRS/EDI/GLA/LPL/LGW/LTN/NCL/STN = 24 flights.

Just a guess ......but football isn't played during the summer and a heck of a lot of LPL GLA traffic was probably sustained by various Footy fans?I know cos I was one.Let's see what winter brings.

Have just checked the easyjet website for flights out of BFS this summer as yet no flights avalable to AMS, EDI, GLA, LTN, and only one flight per day to BRS. Have also checked some summer flights out of LTN none available to EDI or GLA.
I guess easy have either cocked up their website or else they are going for a phased release of their summer flights, or at least I hope thats the reason otherwise BFS is stuffed.

Strange
Weekday frequencies in July/August:
BFS-STN 5x daily
BFS-LTN 5x daily
BFS-LGW 3x daily
BFS-NCL 2x daily
BFS-LPL 6x daily
BFS-GLA 4x daily
BFS-EDI 3x daily
BFS-BRS 1x daily
BFS-AMS 1x daily
That makes 30 flight per day.
Looking at flights for Wed, February 26th:
If it was a football thing why would the AMS & Bristol freq. be down? From what I can see GLA and EDI remain the same, LPL, LTN & BRS are all down by 2 and STN & AMS by 1. Thats a reduction of 8 per day. Assuming LTN and STN are a redistribution of capacity to the 3 daily flights to LGW, that leaves 5 unaccounted for, which could be down to simple things like load factors on LPL-BFS not being quite as high as expected (?) I don't know. I presume the AMS afternoon flight is based at AMS, and will be sent somewhere else for some reason, again, I have no idea about current load factors.
As far as I can see there are no problems with the booking system now. I could access booking info for LTN-EDI and LTN-GLA, so any "teething troubles" seem to have been fixed.
Happy Christmas all,
JW

No idea about load factors but pax loads for the easyJet Liverpool to Belfast route are: 2001 (annual total) = 446849; 2002 (Jan to Sept) = 402472.
By comparison the first nine months of 2001 gave pax total of 328048, this then shows an increase of nearly 23% for the first nine months of this year.
Is this easyJets most popular pax route?
NB : the easyJet Luton to Belfast route had 377795 pax in 2001.

During the summer, the AMS-BFS was operated using the EDI based aircraft doing EDI-AMS-BFS-AMS-EDI, 4 Sectors. I am unsure whether this has stayed the same for the winter however.

Who'll handle EasyJet & Ryanair at NCL?
I noticed on the Groundstar website that they are recruiting staff due to a 'new contract'. Is this EasyJet, Ryanair ......or both??
Does anyone know who'll be handling who?

Well Groundstar already handle Ryanair flights elsewhere (they handle FR at STN now), but I find it hard to believe that they would be recruiting new staff for one rotation per day. I expect EZY will opt for Groundstar.
