Question RYAN at Bergamo

Heard the Ryan's are going to base 5 A/C at BGY...is it true?
Surely they are advertising the usual 5 bucks deals out of there on italian news papers....
Also heard they are planning an italian domestic network as well...any truth?
Moreover will the crews be BGY based or are they gonna be there on overnights?
any infos are welcome.

You are right. From February 2003, 4 aircraft will be based at BGY operating to STN, LTN, BVA, CRL, HHN, LBC, GRO.

An Italian domestic network is not planned just yet but might well be seen in 2-3 years from now. Crews will be based at BGY as Ryanair doesn't operate with overnights, all aircraft and crew return to base.

Hope this helps.

Well, who knows....
Volare has already announced their new "low cost" VolareWeb
Alitalia wants to make out of Eurofly their own low cost
and Meridiana is talking about the same things ....
I believed I had seen them all, but not very sure how this "low cost" experience will be in Italy ....

Chi vivrà vedrà!
(who will survive will see)

Ciao

Cool Anyone actually working for Ryan in BGY?

Hi all,

I am looking to talk to someone already based in BGY for Ryanair. Sounds interesting...

Chinos,

There won't be anyone to talk to you just yet because the BGY base won't become operational until the beginning of February, so there is nobody actually working there at the moment.

thanks anyway

Hello Irishman,

I dont know if that is good news or bad..
But thanks for the info. I see the pilot recruit page on the web has changed and less detail is provided now on the one page format. Can I direct some questions to you off the forum?
Many thanks & happy landings

Chino,

It wasn't a case of being good or bad news, it was just an indifferent statement. You can certainly ask me some questions off the forum but you'll have to tell me how to do that because I haven't figured that out yet.

As far as BGY - BOH goes, all I can give away is watch this space...

FlyingIrishman,

Where does LPL fit in regarding new FR services?

All has gone quiet since they said that it would be the north of England base earlier this year.
