EMA good prospects
Other day saw 2 russain grand palaces!! use all 09/27
to fly with the birds, inbetween a cathey 747 freighter land.
with the expansion of DHL, more flights for UPS next year
and the arrival of the Orange and baby,s.
This place is certanly not the ghost town of two years
ago when I was last there, 767, DC10 and airbus heaven
is this place on the up? and what are the prospects of expansion
anyone know?

If the people of the midlands had their way then EMA should shortly be gaining a second runway, huge new terminal e.t.c. This will mean that the government's plans to flatten hundreds of houses to enlarge BHX or flatten two charming villages to build a new airport near CVT will go unfulfilled. EMA is surrounded by green fields and the costs of expanding it are much less than the other two options.

Things are certainly getting busier. There has been a Cathay Pacific 747-400F arriving here twice over the last two days, apparently a winter operation due to lack of landing slots at Heathrow.
Cargohappy - what are the extra UPS flights planned for next year?
