And meanwhile "Mr Eco" - Vince - is spouting off on X to tell the rest of us how we should live. Some of the responses to his pious homilies are quite amusing. He must have a tougher shell than a tortoise to brush that off, but he seems to.

Firms still greenwashing in adverts after being censured, UK investigation finds
Virgin Atlantic and Renault among companies that continued to publish misleading environmental claims
Companies have continued to post misleading greenwashing adverts after being censured by the Advertising Standards Agency (ASA), according to an investigation.
Greenpeace UK’s investigative journalism unit, Unearthed, reports that Virgin Atlantic, Renault and Aqua Pura are among companies that continued to publish unfounded claims about the environmental credentials of their products after being told to remove such adverts by the advertising watchdog.

'Limping along' still implies some form of progress - something which, I'm reliably informed, is wholly absent. The dwindling number of remaining staff are still being paid, but by all accounts the company is just waiting for them to move on. It seems most likely that Vince will fund Smith's fundraising efforts indefinitely in order to save face, and naturally this will become a lot easier for him once those pesky overheads, like aircrew salaries, are gone. There had been internal rumours of a collapse on or around the first week of May, but evidently nothing happened.

Posting here given that most zero-emissions news seems to lumped in with this thread, and Ecojet do have outstanding orders with ZeroAvia:
https://zeroavia.com/zeroavia-to-bui...b-in-scotland/
ZeroAvia today announced that it will build a major manufacturing facility for production of its hydrogen-electric powertrains at the Advanced Manufacturing Innovation District Scotland, close to Glasgow Airport in Renfrewshire.
ZeroAvia’s Hydrogen Centre of Excellence will support the company in a range of manufacturing operations relating to powertrain production and testing and will also be the company’s primary location for production of advanced high temperature PEM (HTPEM) fuel cell stacks and supporting systems. With nearly 3,000 full engine and component pre-orders agreed with airlines and OEMs – corresponding to over $10 billion in future revenues – ZeroAvia is advancing its production operations to meet demand.
The new facility will complement ZeroAvia’s Propulsion Center of Excellence in Washington State which is focusing primarily on electric motors and power electronics. The company also has plans to expand its R&D and aircraft testing centre at Cotswold Airport in Gloucestershire.
The project in Scotland, which will unlock millions in private investment and support hundreds of jobs over the next few years, has been made possible by a £9m Regional Selective Assistance grant from Scottish Enterprise. This follows an equity investment of £20m from the Scottish National Investment Bank into ZeroAvia as part of the company’s Series C funding, with the UK National Wealth Fund investing £32 million as a cornerstone-level investor in the round. The Series C funding round was led by Airbus, Barclays Sustainable Impact Capital and NEOM Investment Fund.

Nothing at all. They have been granted a three month extension to their accounts filing deadline - presumably to hide the dire state of affairs that they find themselves in for a bit longer - but otherwise very little seems to be going on.
It turns out that they applied for the AOC in October 2023 but there is no OL application more than 18 months later. Anybody familiar with the process will know what's wrong with that - and why it looks like an attempt to mislead staff and/or prospective investors!

Just when you thought it couldn’t get any worse!
In response to flyboy’s post - they have now given up on acquiring their own AOC in the UK, and for that reason have let most of the staff go, but are still dead set on launching the brand and ZeroAvia order by just about any means possible. Some of the ideas put forward have been utterly laughable.

Ecojet have now filed their accounts with Companies House following a 3-month deferral - these confirm that, despite the company’s claims to the contrary at the time, eleven staff members were made redundant in January.

Other than for the sake of Vince's ego, I don't know why they're even trying to frame this as a going concern anymore. It has absolutely zero chance of taking off in any form - be that under its own AOC or any one of their other hairbrained schemes.

There’s no staff anymore. Can’t believe they had a full team recruited (including crew), shows how naive Smith was to think how quick and easy an AOC is to obtain. They need to close it down and move on.

It was built on this absolutely blind certainty of AOC investment off the back of Vince's 'positive' reputation - as such their pitches to investors were very heavy on the vegan catering, and less so on the economics of a second operator on EDI-CWL. Staff were supposedly told that Vince had agreed to fund the AOC himself if push came to shove; of course that never happened and instead we had people leaving jobs at real airlines to sit around and be fed half-truths for 12 months or so, before being let go. They are still very much trying to fundraise, but didn't sound too optimistic even in the recent SASHA puff piece (which claimed their continued lack of investment was due to 'uncertainty surrounding future certification pathways for hydrogen-powered aircraft').
