Saudia seem to be having no issue selling seats on their new Gatwick & Birmingham routes, I suspect Wizzair flights will be much cheaper so you will be quids in anyway.

Perhaps a large number don’t need Visas?

The "new state-of-the-art A321" in the Wizz Abu Dhabi announcement is in fact a 6 years old 321ceo.

Routes to Moldova are being restarted from December 2023. With the Russia-Ukraine war at something close to stalemate, it would appear the geopolitical risk in Moldova is limited

Is signoff from ENAC in Italy enough for Wizzair to fly to India ? Or is signoff from the Indian DGCA necessary as well ? I haven't heard of any approvals yet from the Indian authorities

India's 7 biggest airlines all want to expand internationally- that means new reciprocal agreements being signed. Can't see it being a great issue with India's desire to have a louder voice on the international stage, more connectivity comes hand in hand with that.

Just for the Jet2 Airbus fans, G-WUKW was delivered to Luton yesterday. Next 3, G-WUNA, B & C have German Test Reg applied, NB flew yesterday as well so should be next to be delivered in next couple of weeks.

How are the LTN and LGW to IST flights doing? Full to the brim judging by the fares. How do they make money charging those prices?!

LTN going x9 weekly & LGW x12 so must be making good money. If they can get more slots at LTN & LGW I can see more again.

Wizzair's London bases are Luton and Gatwick. Unless there is approval for a new terminal, Luton is approaching its capacity - an increase in pax allowed from 18m per year to 19m is not going to make a huge difference if flights are being upgauged from A319 to A320 and A320 to A321. Gatwick isn't exactly empty either - I'm sure Wizzair can get hold of a few slots here and there, but thinking strategically rather than tactically, this isn't going to provide huge amounts of airport capacity quickly. I know they have an issue around inspection of aircraft engines... but this should be largely resolved by late 2024.

Should Wizzair look elsewhere in and around London for future airport capacity ? Neither Heathrow nor City are suitable for Wizzair. I don't see any of Birmingham, East Midlands, Lydd, Norwich or Southampton being useful to Wizzair for taking pax to/from London. Should Wizzair look at Southend ? Or even venture into the enemy's lair at Stansted ? Or should Wizzair just deploy extra capacity to routes that don't touch London and its suburbs ?
