What would be fascinating/worrying to know is how much is owed to the airport.
As rotations only started in March, it wouldn’t be surprising if they have only received minimal cash. Yes there will be landing fees, parking fees and turnarounds, but have they paid for the fuel? Or is fuel paid directly to the supplier? If fuel hasn’t been paid for, that could be quite a sizeable debt for the airport.

Usual deals..give free or vastly reduced fees for new operations.
All airports..not just MME…so maybe not much lost there?
Fuel..no idea.
Free offloading initially! so nothing lost there as existing staff re deployed?
Equipment bought..yes..But it’s an investment.
Reputation..always an issue sadly..
Future..who knows..Newcastle supposedly spending millions on a purpose built cargo area along with apron and taxiway improvements..that is more long term..so MME has to keep in the spotlight!

What about the guys building the freight shed by stand 5? Hadn't the steelwork started to arrive on site?

A FAST growing North East warehouse solutions company – which provides support for some of the biggest names on the high street – is continuing with its rapid growth with the acquisition of a site at Teesside International Airport. Jaymac Solutions has taken over a 1.8 acre space at the airport and will be using it to provide warehousing, packaging and fulfilment solutions for the air freight which is set to land at Teesside, following the recent announcement of a multi-million pound deal with European Cargo.
