I don’t think EK will leave Stansted, it’s been one of their better success stories of late in terms of performance expectations.
I think we’ll see a reduction in seat numbers by downgrading a lot of services from A380 to 777 on U.K. routes, which of course won’t affect STN but will affect routes such as LGW.

I couldn't see Emirates reducing LHR from the 6 daily A380 to be honest. LGW possibly a reduction of service and/or aircraft to 777 (though the A380's will still have to go somehwere presumably). Reduction in STN to single daily is certainly a risk. But a complete, permanant termination? Would be surprised but suppose it still cannot be totally ruled out.
I too am all too aware the EK STN service has been on the whole a resounding success. Largely overdue some may even say. Exceptional loads year-round and the quickest they've ever progressed any route to double daily since inauguration, except for Beijing. But sadly, you can't ingnore the fact if/when cut backs need to happen, STN is always going to be vulnerable alongside LGW and LHR.

There is an Air Zimex ATR42 which left about 15 mins ago and is listed on the airport’s departure board for Athens. Is it really going all that way with pax? Even with freight that’s quite a slog!

Air Zimex
If you’re viewing the departures on the Airport Community App, then I do believe that some cargo flights are departing from PAX stands which is where the confusion might be coming from?
No confusion ... all the flights from BSL are freight flights at the moment! The airport's website shows all departures and arrivals ... some of which at the extremes of the 'working day' (05H00-00H00) are clearly freight movements. Of course there are plenty of freight movements that do not appear publicly, especially at the moment.

3x daily A321 I believe for a relatively brief period until their LHR slots opened up and they moved across. Must be a good ten years ago now

Had a brief look through Ryanair's routes at Stansted. All routes seem to be served over the summer or next winter except Dole in easteen France which historically has been winter seasonal. In Jan/Feb 2019, this route seemed to have very low fares for tickets, suggesting yields might not be great. I know the next ski season is a long way off, but I'm guessing Stansted-Dole might have been cancelled
Anyone able to advise ?

TK returning to STN?
Morning all. Just noticed on airline route that Turkish Airlines are due to launch service between STN and ESB (Ankara) on 12th June. I was aware that they had originally intended AnadoluJet to operate this service from 30th March, but it seems now that Turkish (mainline) will be stepping in to operate this route instead (currently remains unclear as per the airline route press note whether AnadoluJet or Turkish metal will be operating this route). Would be absolutely fantastic news if true- STN has not seen TK since they last served STN-IST in 2009, so it'll be nice to welcome them back to the airport.

TK returning to STN
When doing a mock booking flights still show as being operated by Anadolujet, they are due start a daily route to SAW as well, however, they will move all flights back to LGW (according to the reservation site) at the start of the winter season. I’m surprised TK mainline don’t already operate a route to IST, maybe they will once all this is over.
On another positive note EL AL have closed all reservations from STN, again hopefully they return when this is over.
I was also wandering what the status of the Stansted transformation project is?

Also, as noted above, what is the current progress of the STN transformation project? What further work is being planned to the terminal/satellites etc?

Transformation Project
Though the major projects have been put on hold. We still have some projects on going.
•New baggage system
This project is over a month ahead of schedule currently.
•SAT3 Fixed ground power units and stand guidance.
All stands on SAT3 where having the above replaced and modernised. Most stands have been completed and are operational. Most remaining work is painting work on and around the stands.
•Runway Works
Work was completed around 4 weeks ago on replacing runways lights to modern LED’s. Crucial runway maintenance was also done at this point.
Other smaller projects are ongoing such as light replacement and electric upgrades in different areas.

what are the major projects underpinning the transformation? At one stage I thought that MAG were planning to completely refurbish satellite 2 and 3 to bring them in line with satellite 1 (well, perhaps not satellite 3 as its FR turf), but satellite 2 could definitely do with an overhaul. The last time I travelled through there, the place looked as if it hadn’t been touched well before the end of the BAA days with very old carpeting, poor lighting, darkened corridors and light fittings not working on several of the jet bridges (of which none appear to have been used in years). It definitely looks very shabby and in poor relation to some of the other areas of the terminal- one does wonder why AA chose SAT 2 to operate their JFK service to and build their business lounge in when they served STN.
Expanding the bussing gates to 10 from 4 gates. Redesign of the bridge linking SAT2 to the Terminal. Updating SAT2 to similar level as SAT1.
Adding double airbridges to SAT1.
