Primera seat plan for STN-ALC 28apr-05may is no longer a 737-800 I haven’t looked at other dates but looks like to be a larger aircraft.

Looks like the A321as it is 198 seats 16-22-160 - interesting to say the least.

Given the relative size of the departure areas, I would prefer to be in one of the two LGW terminals, rather than be crammed into the STN shopping mall !

Spoke to a member of Stobart Ground Handling, they said every easyJet flight is full all weekend.

Don't believe what they tell you.
A look on EasyJet's web page shows plenty of seats available to many destinations all weekend- for a price of course

How many seats though? If it’s a handful per flight I’d concur with the handler that they’re all ‘full’

They're probably full, the website allows overbookings in normal circumstances,

Really? I would be very unhappy to be off loaded and my holiday screwed up.

I've seen EZY flights overbooked by 7-10 regularly. They apparently use a bit of math to forecast how many people won't turn up.

Most airlines overbook. Charters don't but I believe most other airlines do. As long as you either reserve your seat or check-in online you wouldn't be offloaded. It's the last minute airport check-in whom aren't travelling with children/PRM that do.

I have paid EZY on a number of occasions and not travelled, only when the price was rock bottom though. I've also benefited from volunteering not to board and taking a later flight, although this was a few years back. British Midland were happy to pay cash at twice the ticket price for 4 of us to take a later flight EDI - LHR. Don't know if this is still common practice.

STN closed to arriving pax aircraft due mass disruption within the terminal due to a coach blaze earlier outside the terminal.

It appears passengers within the terminal at the time were quickly evacuated airside away from the fire & dense smoke for their own safety without obviously any security checks & now everyone airside are required to be rescreened even if they had been airside & already security checked!.

Arrival delay still undetermined & many diversions to LTN..LGW..EMA..&c.

Aircraft now being advised EMA..BHX..LTN all unable to accept diversions due volume of traffic.

Was not deliberate in any form..

I believe EWG were on their way to LHR!! I did fail to mention that one..

Now seeing diversions to Manchester and cork inbound seems to be returning to cork or at least Ireland I imagine the rest of today’s departures are a right off unsure about arrivals but guessing until the satellite buildings and terminal are empty of out bound passengers nothing will be landing
