I went there a couple of days ago... It has been sold to a new owner, but so far no aircraft anywhere.

Ovt - thanks for posting the video link
Nice rousing music in the video, but if it's meant to be a promotional video the photography is lousy - just ends up emphasising that this is an airport in the middle of nowhere with no customers.

not meant to be a promotional video... in fact the opposite. Just sad to see such a place with awesome facilities completely abandoned.

Waking up a very old thread... is this airport currently functioning at a sufficient level to be able to act as a storage location for aircraft ? Perhaps a more suitable climate than others that come to mind

Having visited the airport a little bit ago the climate I would suggest is not that conducive for storage. Teruel is the one - unbelievably dry and in one of the quietest areas of Spain and that is saying something!

The only time I was in Teruel, there were hail stones the size of table tennis balls.
