Yes, she had a slight technical issue that Boeing couldn't fix in time before the crew went out of hours. She arrived at LBA at 0600 yesterday.

Flew EMA - CDG on G-CELG on Friday and I must admit, I was very pleasantly surprised at just how immaculate the aircraft is both inside and out. Having asked the pilot, he actually told me that he feels the newer fleet (thus far) provided them more complications than the older 733's - It'll definitely be interesting to see how long they keep it in service given its condition and what a pleasure it was to fly on.

Edit: I meant CELG not CELO, sorry!

I didn't know Jet2 flew East Midlands to Paris. Leeds Bradford, yes, but EMA to CDG is a new one to me.

Pretty sure they've operated the route since 2014 ? Someone will correct me if not...

I believe it started after Flybe ended their EMA-CDG flights after themselves taking over the route from bmibaby.

Jet2 started EMA-CDG in Summer 2014 originally but was cancelled in 2015.

It returned again only a month ago and was originally scheduled to operate right through Summer 2017 but the last flight is now today actually (23 April)... was hardly worth bringing it back at all in the end.

Not 100% sure if it's the reason why but if so, that would explain why the flight was so empty - must've been about 50 pax at most.

No idea why Jet2 brought it back unless there was a tie-in with holidays. EMA-CDG cannot be viable without good connections and through ticketing - especially to long haul - in Paris. Jet2's product and the terminal it uses at CDG cannot offer either. The glory days on the route are gone thanks to Eurostar's fairly competitive advance fares, not far off equivalent city-centre to city-centre journey times and same-station connections at St Pancras.

The 4th machine looks like it's a 'Holidays' one. Due in this evening, with all 4 going onto 2 rotations per day.

Either G-JZHL or G-JZHX will most likely position into STN from LBA later.

G-JZHZ is due delivery into LBA this Saturday from BFI.

'HL' in Holidays Livery (seems appropriate) according to Planefinder.
