Will be sad to see it go; a very good airline for passenger service, apparently.
Bad news for Airbus too; it was supposed to have been India's first/only A380 operator.
Wonder if they could survive as a domestic carrier only; would axing their international services save them. They incorporated a successful domestic low-cost operation, Air Deccan, a few years back, which I think (for a while anyway) was being operated as an independent unit.
It is, of course, a crowded marketplace now.

They are very shabbily run and cater to the whims and fancy of an individual without taking a realistic approach on how to handle this business and grow it in a structured manner. Cancelled flights and stripped down planes (for parts) is common on this carrier. Most time the IFE does not work (non payment), sometimes you get a packed sandwich lunch instead of the meal offered (non payment to caterer) and stories abound of other such "trimmings" including shabby interiors and the like.
I for one have stopped flying them as money is needed to keep such assets in the air and they do not have any of their own.
