The owners have no interest what so ever in DSA. Watch it be put up for sale or closed next year.
What operator is going to come in and offer new routes which it desperately needs? No one is the answer.

Thomas Cook pulling out completely now apparently next summer. Thomson have scaled back their original summer 2012 offerings as well.

Flights to Dalaman and Palma are on their website for sale for 2012.
Where did you get your information in regard to TC pulling out?

Most things Timmy comes out with are complete rubbish (hence why no one usually replies to his postings)... I'd take it with a huge pinch of salt until something is confirmed.

As reported in the local press.
Also, Thomson have reduced their announced services for next summer by axing Bodrum, reducing the Palma and Egypt frequencies.

Have a look for yourself.

The Wizz Vilnius flights will go from 2 per week, to 3 per week from May to September. Where is the PR machine when there are a few glimmers of hope? Nothing like not promoting your own business!

Wizz flight from Gdansk flew straight past Doncaster, went to Ilkley Moor and seems to be circling around LBA at the moment. Outward flight shown as cancelled but Thomson flight from Las Palmas still expected early hours. About 4" snow here.

EDIT It seems to have landed about 2200, although DUB-LBA circling same time has diverted to MAN

And still Doncaster-Sheffield Airport is closed this evening. What are they doing?

There hasn't been any fresh snow fall since 22:00 last night. So the Thomson inbound from Turin and the outbound service to Arrecife are been diverted and operated through to East Midlands.

I think your comments say it all about DSA

The Management dont care they have lost a fortune regretably but its there faule no Boby else

Thompson will eventually get fed up with the I dont give a Fxxk by the owners and pull out as will Wizz

Its a shame but its life when a bunch of Toxxers run an airport

With Wizz announcings new routes from Bucharest in the next few weeks does DSA have a chance of being one?

Before the usual suspects nix the idea, Vilnius has worked with Wizz and the frequency will increase this summer.

Yes I guess they have a chance... If the rumours are to be believed in the slightest, there was ''apparently'' plans to launch this route back in November / December for schedules starting from June this year, but various reasons lead to this not happening...
