At least 2 will be going to EuroAtlantic from SQ after a Boeing Master Change to increase the MTOW to 294 tons.
These aircraft were originally built as -200ERs and have been masquerading as -200s owing to the lowered MTOW done by Boeing at delivery at the request of SQ.

I don't think it involves a lot of changes, mainly in the software and engine departments to increase weights and the like. The engines are derated Trents which can be reset to higher thrust levels without major surgery.
The only issue is cycles, as these planes have been used on short to midhaul so are fairly high. That is apparently a deal-breaker to some carriers who were looking at them (Delta allegedly) but withdrew due to that.
