AE is on it's way to the States as we speak. It's technically a private flight to Indianapolis. The word is that it's going to the desert to be laid to rest.......... Don't think so.

Very sad news
Wikipedia shows there only 737-200 (Palmair) as Wet-leased from, and uses the air operator's certificate of, European Aviation Air Charter
Do they also operate the Palmair flights?

EAAC is no longer propping up Ozjet. Paul S flogged it to a like-minded individual earlier this year, reportedly for 'MILLIONS'. At least that was the boast at the time.
Is this confirmed? I can't find anything official about it and also knew that one or two of the 737-200s were about to be permanently retired as they were coming due for major checks which it wasn't worth doing. Could this be a case of someone putting two and two together and getting nineteen or is there indeed a problem?

Cobham's In Flight Refuelling is also letting 100 people go nearby
And Palmair are looking for new planes to fly as they borrowed theirs from European

Another stupid question coming up, is inflight refulling FRA? I have friends who fly for them. I never thought they would have a problem as they work on contracts for the NAVY from BOH doing some pretty cool flying!

FRA
Nah CABUS,
FRA are a different firm [EDIT - although part of Cobham - didn't know that] and, I'd imagine, a very happy bunch of campers, right next to the MoD's money trough, given their RAF/Navy love-in.
IFR is based in Wimborne, down the road

All part of Cobham Plc.
FR Aviation (FRA) operate out of BOH (and Teesside)
Flight Refuelling Limited (FRL) have a factory in Wimborne manufacturing in-flight refuelling equipment amongst other things.
Although almost 100 jobs are being cut at FRL, the Cobham Director of Communications does say:
“We would like to achieve this reduction by voluntary means as much as possible and will make all reasonable attempts to find suitable alternative employment within FRL and sister companies.”

A Very Sad Day
It was a very sad morning this morning at EAAC, particularly as an investor had been negotiating to take over the airline for several months. Everything was agreed & then he suddenly disappeared.
Paul Stoddart did everything he could to make it work & put in a lot of his own money in an attempt to keep it going, so please, no more rude comments about him.
No, I'm not an accountant, just another ex employee now sadly no longer employed by what was one of the happiest companies in the world.
My sincere best wishes to all my ex colleagues for a happy & successful future.
PER ARDUA AD ASTRA.
