AA Very Alarming Rumours

According to the Rense Report the situation at AA is dire. To summarise it is alleged that, the management have taken all the profit to pay themselves a bonus, the grounding and inspection is being done on purely beaureaucratic grounds without regard to engineering considerations, and the management has contrived to prevent a staff strike by being ready to go into chapter 11 bankruptcy. This is a very poor summary of what Rense has said, so please use this link for the full story:-

Can anyone from AA comment?

The "Rinse" Report? What a load of crap. Misspellings, language, just garbage. There have been speculative rumors for months re: BK for AA. There have been reports of discord between APA and AMR (What a Shock, can you imagine Union and management posturing to gain a PR advantage?). A real concern might be profitability and an aging fleet. In the States the good news is that commercial paper is available at 1.75 percent. The bad news is, you can't have any, all the money's gone. Take into account 300 MD80 tired and true, and the 30 Billion it would take to replace them, and the time to manufacture the new ones, and you have a real problem, not foul language from the sandbox. Well it is "Rumours and News" after all.

Wasn't that the site that ruined Prince Harry's combat experience by publishing the details? I don't know whether that adds credence to anything else on the site or just confirms it as seeking sensation.
